I am very excited to be back in your inboxes again! I did try to stop by in January and that most certainly did not go as planned. I unfortunately was dealing with a medical emergency that required me to take a (doctor-sanctioned) increased dosage of my medication. While in this medication-induced fog, I thought that I could handle writing a newsletter. As it turns out, I was incredibly wrong! I tried to preview it and ended up just sending it…that’s my bad. If you know me, then you know that the word “disaster” is sort of my brand. I apologize for the mess. I am (knock on wood) all better now! Thank you all for bearing with me through that.

STAR EATERS NEWS

We are still in the editing phase! Stars is next up on the docket for my editor, so we should have all edits completed some time in late March or early April! I will then be preparing everything for ARCs! So, stay tuned for information on that if you’re interested in receiving an ARC of The Stars Want Blood. I cannot put into words just how excited I am to get this book into all of your hands.

There are some other small updates that I’m excited to share with you all!

• The draft for book two is starting to go well! Despite having an incredibly detailed outline, I was having a lot of trouble with it. It’s a very emotionally intense book and it was wearing me out and nothing seemed to be fitting together the way that I wanted it to. As I often do, I scrapped my draft 0 at about 40% and started over with a draft 1 (my process is generally this messy lmao) and I am starting to get my groove with draft 1! It is currently sitting around 45k words. Just 100k to go!

• If you’ve ever seen virtually anything I have ever posted about the Star Eaters series, then you know that I always say, “Scorpios are menaces.” This is true. I know a lot of them. I love Scorpios so much, but they are menaces to society! And once you all read The Stars Want Blood and get to know Hadeon Kovaleno, you’ll understand where I’m coming from. As far as news relating to this? Well, some friends of mine have bullied me into writing more Hadeon content. So, that’s a thing that’s in the works now! >:)
