SEPTEMBER NEWSLETTER
STARS, PHANTOMS, & BULL RIDERS News, extras, & updates.
Not a whole lot has happened since the last newsletter, but the few things that have happened have been pretty fun and I’m excited to share everything with you guys!
Firstly, I have undergone a re-brand. Not really, actually. But I did figure out a more cohesive appearance for my internet presence and am going to try to use it more consistently. My website has been launched! If you’re getting my newsletter, you’re probably already familiar with a lot of the stuff on there, but I will keep it as updated as possible so feel free to check it out! And, most importantly, it will include a blog. More Morgan rambling!! One single person told me I should start a blog about my experience with writing, and I listened! Twice a month I’ll post a lil blog post about something that I’ve experienced in my journey as a writer. I love being transparent and am hoping that people can read some of what I have to say and maybe relate.
STAR EATERS NEWS
We are still in the beta reading phase, but I still have a few updates to share!
The beta reading season is coming to an end, and I am ready to get into revisions. I have an absolutely insane Milanote board outlining the changes that I already plan on making and am so excited to really sit and go through the comments left by my beta readers. This project is so special to me and I cannot wait to finish shaping it into everything that I know it can be.
I have also figured out a title. The overall series is going to be titled the Star Eaters series with book one being titled The Stars Want Blood. I know I’ve used both of these titles already, but now I have them actually, like, organized.
PHANTOMS WIP NEWS
We’re drafting, baby! I have the entire book outlined and four chapters drafted. It’s slow going, but it’s going.
I drew a cute lil portrait of the main character and love interest! Everybody welcome Aella and Kharon to the party!
NEW WIP
Am I supposed to be drafting Phantoms right now? Yes. Did I whip together a new project instead? …also yes.
WELCOME TO THE BULL RIDERS WIP! This is my guilty pleasure WIP. It follows the story of Mercy Abelman, a mercenary working for the Vatican, as she hunts down the troublesome Nephilim (and rockstar?!) Vincent. It’s cheesy and ridiculous but God is it fun! This has been my stress-reliever project for when I just need something silly and fun and brainless to work on.
“So,” They grabbed their cheap coffee—loaded with enough cream and sugar to send any normal person into a sugar coma—and took a healthy gulp, “will you kill me over breakfast? Or will we eat in amicable peace, reminiscing about the show and the even better time after it, just for you to pull a gun on me outside in a nearby alleyway? If you’re going to go that route, you should wear a cowgirl hat and just go full western on me. Maybe some assless chaps.” Mercy only stared at them, annoyance making her brows crease. “Oh, yeah, definitely the assless chaps. You have a nice ass. Small, but nice.”
“Are you usually so insufferable?” She spat out, too irritated to even know where to begin in refuting his ideas.
They grinned wide and laughed. “My friends call me funny, actually.”
“Your friends are idiots.”
“Well, that’s not very nice.”
“I never said that I was nice.”
“You were really nice last night when you were—”
“That’s enough!” She hissed through a scowl.
“You’re a lot less fun today.” They grabbed another large forkful of pancake and chewed thoughtfully before sucking their fingers clean of stray stickiness. “Isn’t a good dickin’ supposed to make women more affable?”
She raised a haughty brow. “Who said it was good?”
They laughed. “You did. You were babblin’ real fuckin’ stupid. A lot.”
