I’m a Published Author

I’ve posted about it online already so it’s likely you saw it, but as a recap: my release day was more than I could have ever dreamed of. It was such a fun day. I hit a couple of orange banners (which fell off already, but I didn’t think I’d hit any ever so I am taking it very positively still,) my best friends/CPs ordered a cake that looks like my freakin’ book and had my sister go pick me up to surprise me with it, and I sold more copies than I ever thought possible for little old me. I cried a lot on release day. Almost nonstop. It was arguably the best day of my entire life.

So… Now What?

For The Stars Want Blood, I don’t really know! The release day hype is dying down so now I have to figure out how to keep the momentum going. If I’m being honest, marketing sucks. I hate doing it. I don’t know why I can’t just gesture vaguely and yell buy my book. But I didn’t think I’d ever get to this point. But I did. Which means I can figure out what to do next. I am confident that I will figure it out. Somehow. Someway.

I did sell out of the signed paperback copies (and yes, I am emotional about that.) I’m not sure when I’ll restock them. But in the meantime, if you head over to my Etsy, you can purchase a pack of the tarot cards that went out with the signed paperbacks! I am designing a handful of tarot cards for each book so that eventually, when the series is completed, so is the deck!

What Else?

For the past few weeks, I haven’t been able to write much. The pre-publishing crazies made it impossible for me to focus on drafting. So, now that those are dissipating, I can finally start drafting again!

I have a million and one projects going, but I am determined to make notable progress on the second book in the Star Eaters series and also my standalone dark romance novel that is currently known as Bull Riders WIP. So, keep an eye out for news on both of those!
