HOLY SHIT IT’S TIME

I feel completely insane right now. I published a book. This was never supposed to happen. I never dreamt of being a writer. I enjoyed writing, but I wasn’t good enough at it or serious enough with it to ever consider doing it on a professional level. For god’s sake, I work at a truck shop. But… here we are. I published a book.

I think it’d be more correct to say that we published a book. I wouldn’t have done this without all of the support I’ve gotten along the way. And no, I don’t want to hear about how I did this, that it was my brain and my words that made this happen. Because if I were still treating writing as a solitary hobby, I know for a fact that I wouldn’t have considered publishing The Stars Want Blood, even if I finished the draft (which likely wouldn’t have happened without the above-mentioned support!) This shift from fun hobby to a published book was because people believed in me enough to encourage me to do it.

Overall, this is an easy five stars for me. If you're interested in a book that includes the mystical clutter of Howl's Moving Castle, found family, detective work, and romance, this is absolutely the book for you. I cannot wait to see where Hanlin takes us on this journey.
